Ruidoso, NM: New Mexico Commissioner of Public Lands, Patrick H. Lyons, formally announced on Wednesday that he is endorsing Ed Tinsley in New Mexico's Second Congressional District Republican Primary.
"I am very pleased to stand with Ed Tinsley today and provide him with my unequivocal endorsement and support in the Republican primary for the Second Congressional District of New Mexico. "Ed's extensive experience with land management issues, namely within our state's oil and gas and ranching industries, is unparalleled in this primary and marks him as the only candidate in the field who will understand the agricultural and land trust issues facing New Mexico from the day he is elected," Commissioner Lyons stated.
"I am incredibly honored to have the support of Commissioner Lyons," Tinsley stated. "Pat's history of public service to our state from the New Mexico State Senate to the Office of Public Lands has been inspirational to me. I am glad to have Pat's counsel on the land issues which represent the lifeblood of the economy of our state."
Commissioner Patrick Llyons and Ed Tinsley appeared together at a series of sites throughout the day on Wednesday in Roswell, Artesia and Alamogordo visiting with voters and various news media outlets.
New Mexico's Commissioner of Public Lands, Patrick Lyons, recently made history by being the only Republican to hold the office for two consecutive terms. Mr. Lyons was first elected in November 2002, and is the highest ranking Republican in the state of New Mexico's Executive Branch. |
