Tinsley on the 2nd Amendment |
Tinsley firmly supports upholding America’s Constitution and our 2nd Amendment rights. Specifically, he believes that:
- Law-abiding citizens have the right to keep and bear arms. This is a fundamental, Constitutional right that deserves to be protected.
- Rather than restricting the rights of law-abiding citizens, we should focus our efforts on ensuring that criminals who violate the law are prosecuted to the fullest.
- The rights of hunters should be protected, not only as a 2nd Amendment right, but as a treasured, cultural aspect of our Southern New Mexican heritage.
Ed Tinsley was honored to receive an "A" Rating from the National Rifle Association:
Ed Tinsley Tinsley for Congress PO Box 942 Capitan, NM 883316
Dear Mr. Tinsley:
On behalf of oru four million members, the National Rifle Association Political Victory Fund (NRA-PVF) has received and reviewed your responses to our federal candidate questionnaire. Based on your pro-gun reponses, you have received an "A" rating in your congressional race this year.
As you know, our Second Amendment rights and hunting heritage are very important to voters in New Mexico and your positions demonstrate a commitment to the rights of law-abiding gun owners and sportsmen. We appreciate your support.
Sincerely,
Chris W. Cox Chairman, National Rifle Association-PVF |
